Greetings!
In October 2020, Galfar Al Misnad marked a significant milestone as we celebrated the completion of 25 Years of Operations in Qatar. This achievement would not have been possible without the support of all our esteemed clients, suppliers, partners, and, most of all our dedicated and talented employees.
Galfar Al Misnad began its independent operations in Qatar in 1995, building upon the stalwart legacy of Galfar Oman. Starting with Oil and Gas jobs, we quickly expanded into Infrastructure and E&I. The success and trust we earned built the foundation for Building, MEP, and Facility Management. We further diversified into activities like Aluminum Façade, Scaffolding, Painting, Fabrication, and Mechanical Workshop etc. The company also invested in Galfar Kuwait and acquired SAS in Ras Al Khaima.
Our landmark projects like Al Bayt Stadium and Doha Metro Red Line North, in association with JVs, have cemented Galfar Al Misnad’s role as an integral contributor towards the preparations for the prestigious FIFA World Cup 2022 and a trustworthy partner in nation building jobs.
All our Operating Divisions have established themselves as leaders in their respective sectors. The Infrastructure Division has shone with high value projects like the Katara Cultural Village Project, the Doha South STP Project and the Al Wakrah Logistics Park Project. The Oil & Gas Division has successfully been executing the Flowline Project in Dukhan for the past 20 years; performed a wide variety of Tank Projects, and was recently awarded the first of its kind CO2 WAG Injection Pilot Project. Our E & I Division established path breaking standards in the E&I Sector with their innovative and sustainable cooling technology for the Khalifa Stadium Energy Center. This project was so successful, the technology has now been adopted across all the FIFA World Cup 2022 stadiums in Qatar. The Building & MEP Division has taken on a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from eco-friendly school buildings, offices and warehouses to heavy civil works for the O&G industry. Our youngest division, Facility Management, is already at the forefront amongst its peers in Qatar, with prestigious projects in the education, health, energy, and sporting infrastructure sectors.
We have achieved all this without compromising on our commitment to Excellence in Safety. This is exemplified by the many accolades we have received over the years, including the International Safety Award 2020 with Distinction from the British Safety Council for the Al Wakra Logistics Park Project.
We have been shining beyond the construction sites as well. The Galfar Cricket Team is now a Premier Division team and marks a consistent presence at all tournament finals. Six members of our team also play for the Qatar National Team on the international stage. As an organizational development initiative to upgrade the communication and leadership skills of our staff, we incorporated the Galfar Toastmasters Club in 2009. The Club has grown to become the Best Corporate Club in Qatar. We also launched the Galfar Classroom program to provide essential English and financial literacy skills to our workers. We extend our social responsibility towards promoting Environmental Awareness in the local community though tree planting, green workshops, beach cleanups and awareness competitions for the younger generation.
Our success over the past 25 years can be attributed to our pursuit for best quality work, through eco-friendly methods, in a compassionate work environment. We take this opportunity to thank all our stakeholders for the wonderful support in helping us achieve our goals. We now look towards the future with a promise to continue to provide a diverse range of sustainable and reliable engineering solutions that result in 100% satisfaction for our customers.
