Galfar Al Misnad’s recent blood donation drive, held on May 2, 2025, marked a historic achievement with 423 units of blood collected, setting a new record and exceeding last year’s total of 347 units.

Organised in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), the event was part of Galfar’s ongoing commitment to community welfare and healthcare support. The drive saw exceptional enthusiasm from employees, especially within the worker community, who turned out in large numbers to contribute to this life-saving initiative.

The outstanding efforts of Galfar’s Medical and Administration teams made the event successful. Under the leadership of Dr. Al Ameen, the medical team, including the dedicated nurses, ensured a seamless screening and donation process, while the Administration team, led by Mr. Rash, provided excellent logistical support throughout the event.

One proud milestone was the first-ever participation of a female staff donor, a moment that reflects the inclusive spirit and growing engagement within the Galfar family.

The HAMAD team expressed a high appreciation for the professional setup and collaborative spirit of all involved.

In a commendable show of corporate responsibility and environmental stewardship, Galfar Al Misnad Engineering & Contracting W.L.L successfully organized a large-scale Beach Cleaning Drive at Al Wakra Family Beach on Friday, May 23, 2025.

The event was held under the theme “Restore Our Shores – Clean Beaches, Healthier Community!”, as part of Galfar’s ongoing Community Engagement Initiative aimed at promoting sustainability and public well-being.

Leading by example, Mr. Satish G. Pillai, Executive Director of Galfar, actively participated in the clean-up, reinforcing the company's commitment to leadership in action. Senior officials, including divisional managers and department heads, also took part, joining hands with employees in the collective effort to restore the shoreline.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from staff across various divisions, with support from the company’s HSE Department, led by Corporate HSE Manager Mr. John Henry, who oversaw the planning and coordination of the initiative.

Two delegates from Al Wakra Municipality also participated and lauded Galfar’s consistent efforts in supporting environmental and community-focused activities. Their presence highlighted the value of public-private collaboration in advancing environmental sustainability.

Volunteers were provided with caps, gloves, waste collection tools, and refreshments to ensure a safe and well-coordinated effort. The result was a cleaner, healthier beach — and a proud moment of unity and service for all involved.

The event reaffirmed Galfar’s commitment to contributing positively to the community and preserving the environment for future generations.

In celebration of World Health Day 2025, Galfar Al Misnad Engineering & Contracting W.L.L. conducted a series of health-focused activities across all its sites and facilities under the global theme, “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures.” The campaign ran from April 7 to 10, with the goal of promoting preventive care, wellness education, and early health screening for its workforce.

The program commenced with an online awareness session led by Dr. Joji Mathews, a consultant cardiologist, who addressed employees' heart health, lifestyle management, and the importance of early detection. The interactive session witnessed strong attendance and engagement from across the company.

At the Plant Department workshop, Dr. Nikhil Augustine from Reyada Medical Centre delivered a face-to-face health seminar, drawing full attendance from the workforce. The session covered essential topics on general well-being and included a Q&A segment, making it both practical and impactful.

In addition, awareness campaign sessions were conducted across all Galfar project sites and facilities, led by HSE teams and medical partners. These sessions addressed mental health, nutrition, hydration, and healthy lifestyle choices. Over 5,000 employees participated in these initiatives, reflecting strong engagement across the organization.

The campaign concluded with a comprehensive on-site health screening at the Dukhan Project, where 161 employees underwent vital checks and doctor consultations through a fully equipped mobile clinic provided by Aster Medical Center.

The team managed this project during the culmination of Qatar's world cup 2022 preparations. The project goal was to transmit power to the surrounding area and Doha Port development project.
