Galfar Al Misnad has been declared National winner by MEED Awards 2024 for Kaharama Substation (Salata) project. This award is in the Power Transmission Project of the Year category. The team managed this project during the culmination of Qatar's world cup 2022 preparations. The project goal was to transmit power to the surrounding area and Doha Port development project.

Pillai, received the award, joined by the plant's Deputy General Manager, Mr. Anwar Sadath, and the Corporate HSE Manager, Mr. John Henry Ikwuneme.
British safety council has honored Galfar Al Misnad and our Wajba Project team with Two international Safety awards for 2024.

This is the Tenth time Galfar Al Misnad has received the International Safety award while the Al Wajba Project has been honored for the fourth consecutive year. Galfar’ s commitment to safety is meritorious.

Galfar AL Misnad QHSE division on June 5th, 2024, organized a variety of activities aimed at raising environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices as a part of world Environmental Day.
The following activities were collocated as part of this noble cause:
Community awareness exercise in the lines of an Art competition at the Brilliant International school and Pearl Podar School. The effort was on the world Environment 2024 theme - land Restoration desertification and drought resilience.
The contests encouraged children to express their ideas about the environment creatively promoting awareness and understanding from an early age. Winners received Gifts and Trophies.
Trees were planted at Galfar Project Sites, Brilliant School and Pearl Podar School.
An online quiz program for all the employees related to the Environment and the 2024 theme.
A Speech contest in association with Galfar Toastmasters was conducted for Employees children on June 8, 2024. The event was a tremendous success, showcasing our young participants' remarkable talent and enthusiasm. All participants received tree saplings, gift items, and certificates of participation. The six winners (three from each category) were awarded trophies, medals, gift items, and certificates. Certificates of appreciation were also awarded to our esteemed external judges.
